£65.00

White Rose Maths are returning to Barrow to deliver Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract training.  This course not only offers a saving on the normal recommended price but also saves on travel time and expenses.

Concrete manipulatives are fundamental to the powerful Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach and are a key resource in developing a deep understanding of maths for pupils of all ages.

This hands-on course will focus on how concrete resources can be used to develop a student’s conceptual understanding across all areas of the curriculum, from simple number operations up to complex procedures like completing the square.

Building on the concrete, we consider how we can make connections between concrete, pictorial and abstract ideas so pupils can truly master concepts, building on strong foundations.

You do not have to be considering a mastery curriculum to benefit from this training.

The course will be delivered by a course leader from White Rose Maths on Thursday 25th June 2020 at Furness Academy, Park Dr, Barrow-in-Furness LA13 9BB

By halting groups of visitors to schools we hope we are demonstrating a duty of care to school staff and pupils as well as the wider communities that they are all part of.
