What are the Sustainable Development Goals?
In 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 goals for a better world by 2030. These goals have the power to end poverty, fight inequality and stop climate change. Guided by the goals, it is now up to all of us, governments, businesses, schools, people young and old, to work together to build a better future for everyone.
This course gives an introduction to the SDGs and how teachers can integrate them into their curriculum, school community and inspire pupils and teachers to take action to make their world a better place. It also gives guidance as to how you can use global learning to help meet the new Ofsted Framework
The course will help delegates to:
- develop an understanding of the SDGs
- understand why they are important for the future of young people and the world
- embed the SDGs in your teaching and learning, school ethos and community
- enable your children, school and community to become active and responsible global citizens.
Target Audience: Headteachers, Senior Leaders, Middle Leaders, Teachers and NQTs.
